Completed a house removal from Leeds to Newcastle. It was a simple house move and we got all the items on/off in good time. The traffic was also fine so we even had the opportunity to stop for a little bit of sight seeing on the way back.
At the Angel of the North!
It’s such a tremendous, towering sculpture, and looks even better up close (though it is great seeing it standing there as you whizz past on the A1).
To be honest though, I can’t help looking at it and thinking of what could have been as Antony Gormley’s 100 foot Brick Man was rejected by Leeds only a few years before the Angel of The North was commissioned. Read about it here.
