Greenbox Removals have been working with both Unipol Student Homes and the SLATE charity group since its inception in 2012, we consider ourselves a bridge between the two organisations.
Unipol, as part of its upgrading of standards within its portfolio of properties for students, often updates furniture. Some of this furniture is in ok condition so, rather than send it to the tip, we take it to SLATE in Armley. The people at SLATE are always incredibly happy to receive these second hand items as they know that their customers will need such things.
I also find that SLATE, as it’s a local charity, sells items on at a very reasonable price which helps the people who can’t afford to buy new. And SLATE has got a great purpose – it employs people with learning difficulties and offers them training in a multitude of skills which they get to utilise in SLATE’s shops and café. It’s an all-round wholesome operation.
And, if I was a student, I would definitely want Unipol has a landlord. They always have their tenant’s best interests at heart with a constant desire to provide decent, secure and modern accommodation without trying to squeeze every penny out of their clients.
It’s a wonderful marriage between two fantastic organisations (and Greenbox aren’t so bad either!)
