It was a Saturday morning, the weather was fine, streets were quiet, when the Greenbox Removals van pulled up at the apartment block.
We had two hours, no more, to move the entirety of Antonia’s belongings (furniture, boxes and all) from a first floor flat to an upper floor maisonette in Crossgates.
We did it, with help from Antonia, her uncle and her super mum who was lifting like a trooper even though she’d recently had an operation on her hand. We did recommend that she leave it to us but she wouldn’t have it. I guess they don’t make them like they used to!
Stop the clock. Two hours dead. £90 paid. One happy customer. Two sweaty removal men.
Then on to the next job……
