Completed a house removal from Leeds to Bradford and it wasn’t until the end that I realised that it was for a musician. But not just any old musician, one who I’ve listened to quite a lot on Spotify.
Minnie and Sam were ace, they were really well prepared and it didn’t take long to get the van loaded up.
Everything went swimmingly, we even missed the deluge of rain as this occurred on the drive to Idle and stopped as soon as we arrived.
It was a shame though, as the people moving out of the property we were moving Minnie and Sam into had used Anyvan and they hadn’t sent enough vans, so they still had quite a lot to move out when we got there.
But everyone was great and worked around each other. Spirits were high.
Sam made me chuckle when he told me that one of the main draws to moving to Idle was that it had a Working Man’s Club – The Idle Working Man’s Club. Brilliant.
We got everything unloaded super quick as apparently Sam was playing a gig that evening and he couldn’t be late. As I was leaving I asked him what the name of his band was. He only replied ‘Yard Act’!
Love Yard Act. A great Leeds band!
